300 acres of adventureWhat once was an illegal coal strip mining operation, is now 300 acres of reclaimed land for outdoor adventure in the hills of Eastern Kentucky. Double Crossing Trails is a horseback riding, mountain biking, and camping retreat located only 30 minutes south of the Red River Gorge, KY. Bring your gear and spend a weekend of trail riding on this beautiful reclaimed property. There are currently 5 miles of trails. This area has breathtaking mountain top views, large pond for swimming and fishing and river access for kayaking on the Middle Fork of the Kentucky River.
There are also two cabins on the property and a historic house with two rooms available for overnight accommodation. Showers and bathrooms also accessible at the trailhead. Daily Parking: $10.00 Primitive Camping $20.00 (up to 4 people) Additional campers $5.00 per person. Kids camp free. Pets allowed. |

Primitive Camping
There are several designated primitaeve camping areas along the 5 miles of trail at Double Crossing Trails. Pick a spot and call Ralph with your camping spot. Camp along the creek, around the pond, or up on the bluff for breathtaking sun rises and sunsets.

Hillside HideawayA 12x16 tiny house built to accommodate 2 people. Bring your air mattress and linens. Equipment with electric, air conditioned, heat, microwave and mini fridge. Shower and bathrooms are close by at the trailhead.

Farmhouse Rooms A and BThe 100 year old Farmhouse is located at the trailhead the property. There are two 14x14 rooms with beautiful rough lumber walls and large window for scenic views. Showers and bathrooms are on location. Bring your cots and/or camping gear .
